Linux Level 1 is done and Level 2 starts next week

Last week was an important week for Knowledge Seven Ltd as we had our first ever Linux course, Linux Level 1.

During the five days, Karen, Nasser, Wassim, Gilbert, Jino, Pascal and Atish (who are all employed in prominent firms) were exposed to a number of important topics including Linux installation, the command line, package management, permissions, file-systems, TCP/IP and the X-Window system.

They pointed out that they liked the fact that the learning environment provided by Knowledge Seven Ltd was top-notch. They also pointed out that the trainer was, ahem, excellent :-)

I am happy that they liked what they did (one of them even told me that the training "exceeded his expectations") and I would like to thank them for showing trust in my company and myself. I would also like to thank their respective IT managers.

Of course, I would be delighted to have them back in one week for Linux Level 2 which will cover topics like TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting, host security, OpenSSH, DNS, NFS, SAMBA, Apache web server, Mail Transfer Agent, kernel management, runlevels, logging, scripting, printing, etc.

By the way, there are places remaining for Linux Level 2. Don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested. But be quick as everything must be finalised by the end of the week.
